Bookings cannot be shared and are not transferable from one member to another or from one season to the next. Downgrading your membership is not allowed once the season has started. Unused bookings are not of any value at the end of the season and having an excess of bookings is not cause for a refund. The club will be compassionate of special circumstances and will consider credits to the following season should the situation justify doing so. Once the season is in progress refunds will be pro-rated based on the date the member notifies the club, they will not be backdated for time that has elapsed. Bonus bookings are not part of this calculation. We do not offer any credits or refunds due to the participant contracting Covid-19 or having to self-isolate due to the suspected Covid-19 or out of province or out of country travel. If the Club is forced to close for a period of time due to Covid-19, we will offer credits based on the unused portion of the season only (not based on unused bookings). Release, Warranty and Indemnity FOR ALL FACILITY USE INCLUDING, MEMBERSHIP, GUEST AND PAY AS YOU PLAY, TENNIS LESSONS AND PROGRAMS, AND SUMMER CAMP
In consideration of the acceptance of enrollment in any program (as described above) run at Joshua Creek Tennis (located at 1330 Burnhamthorpe Rd.), participants and (if applicable) on behalf of the Participant (if the Participant is a minor) and our respective heirs, executors, administrators and assigns, hereby RELEASE, WAIVE AND FOREVER DISCHARGE JOSHUA CREEK TENNIS INC/ JOSHUA CREEK SPORTS INC. and its agents, servants, contractors, representatives, successors and assigns (“Releases”) of and from all claims, demands, damages, costs, expenses, actions and causes of actions, whether in law or equity, in respect of death, injury, loss or damage to my person or property or to the Participant howsoever caused, arising or to arise by reason of the participation of the Participant in the JOSHUA CREEK TENNIS Program, whether as spectator, participant, competitor or otherwise and whether prior to, during or subsequent to any classes in respect thereof and notwithstanding that same may have been contributed to or occasioned by the negligence of any of the aforesaid.Participants further undertake to hold and save harmless and agree to indemnify the Releasees from and against any and all liability incurred by any or all of them arising as a result of or in any way connected to the participation of the Participant in the JOSHUA CREEK TENNIS Program.
Participants must acknowledge having read, understood and agree to the above Release, Warranty and Indemnity before registering for any programs.
Tennis Academy and Summer Camp
Cancellations or changes for tennis clinics must be requested at least two weeks prior to the first day of the session for a refund. All refunds will be subject to a $30.00 administration fee per tennis session or camp week. All refunds are paid by cheque. Once the season is underway, refunds will not be considered unless extenuating circumstances apply. Refunds must be requested by email and are to be arranged through our Administrative Manager only. During the indoor season, we will do our best to make up any missed classes due to snow, other weather situations or situations beyond our control, we cannot guarantee that all classes will be made up. Makeup opportunities in other groups cannot be facilitated due to Covid-19 protocols that require us to keep students within their own group.
NEW: Outdoor Season Rain Make-Up Policy (Tennis Classes only – Does not apply to Rec Division Summer Camp)
Our outdoor season is divided into two sessions with one make-up day at the end of each session. If a class is rained out or cancelled due to inclement weather conditions, it will be made up at the regularly scheduled time on the rain date. If more than one class is rained out during the regular session or if it rains on the make-up day, a reimbursement will be processed on your credit card based on the value of the missed class. Makeup opportunities in other groups cannot be facilitated due to Covid-19 protocols that require us to keep students within their own group.

Summer Camps: If a participant contracts Covid-19 or has to self-isolate due to suspected Covid-19 exposure, we will offer a refund (less a $30 administrative fee) IF WE ARE ABLE TO FILL THE SPOT with another participant. If we cannot fill the spot and more that 50% of the week is missed, we will calculate a credit toward future programming.
